Tips from a Top Content Creator and Student-Athlete
Grayson Jons
Content Creator, Johns Hopkins University
NIL Storyteller, The Players NIL
This week we are joined by Grayson Jons, a content creator for the Johns Hopkins men’s and women’s lacrosse teams and goalie for the McDaniel College women’s soccer team. She is also a member of our inaugural class of NIL Storytellers at The Players NIL.
Grayson shares her story of growing up playing sports with the kids in her neighborhood, where she discovered her competitive side. This drive to win – to excel – is where she developed some of the most important qualities that serve her today.
To excel in any field, it’s always crucial to commit yourself, show dedication, and show up every day. As both a student-athlete and a content creator, Grayson understands the importance of balancing academics along with professional development.
In this episode:
- The new mindset she had coming back to the game after Covid
- A quick peek at her (very) packed schedule as a content creator and student-athlete
- A glimpse at her creative process and how she turns an idea into a story
- How she got her start in content creation and where she learned to edit
- How to start creating content, even with no experience
- Where to find help when a Google search just won’t cut it
