Ishveen Jolly's Tips for Content Creators
Ishveen Jolly
CEO & Founder, Open Sponsorship
Today’s guest is Ishveen Jolly who shares advice for athletes who want to step up their content creation game.
Hailing from Manchester, England, Ishveen grew up loving sports. Some of the first lessons she learned were how to lose and how to fail. As she grew older, playing team sports taught her how to lean on others and find a role within the group, which has helped her in her career. She also describes how playing sports levels the playing field for all. Regardless of background or physical appearance, your value is your contribution to the team.
Professionally, she began selling sponsorships in the IPL cricket league in India. While working, she developed a sense that there was a better way to do things and that deal-making could be more efficient. With the rise of influencer marketing, social media, and content creation, she realized that individual athletes were as powerful as teams regarding sponsorship. Today, sponsorship is a $60B industry.
