Creating Hope and Possibility Through Sports
Kayla Bradham
Executive Vice President, Sports Philanthropy Network
Kayla Bradham is our guest this week with a riveting story of overcoming challenges and seeking to fulfill her personal mission to help others.
Growing up in extreme poverty, Kayla was often told that she couldn’t participate in certain activities because they were “only for rich people”. When an anonymous good Samaritan paid her registration fee in second grade to allow her to play softball, she knew from that moment that her mission would be to help people like her.
This boosted her motivation and encouraged her to be the first in her family to graduate college. While in school, she worked for the Green Bay Packers and picked up quite a few life lessons along the way. For young athletes, her journey through education and into her career is an excellent example of how to get your foot in the door of your dream job.
Today, she is finally achieving her goal of helping her community with Sports Philanthropy Network – watch the full episode to find out how!
